What is Vogis Gin?
Vogis is a premium handcrafted gin from Armenia. It is made from a family recipe developed in 1980–1986 by scientist Vardan Yavruyan, using juniper and botanicals from the Armenian Highlands. His family rediscovered the recipe in 2019 and brought it to life.
What does “Vogis” mean?
Vogis is the Armenian word for “spirit”. The name reflects our premium gin spirit, the family traditions and soul put into every bottle, and the spirit of our homeland, Armenia.
Who created the Vogis recipe?
The recipe was created by scientist Vardan Yavruyan in the 1980s. Years later, the younger members of the Yavruyan family found it in his scientific papers and reproduced the gin.
What botanicals are in Vogis Classic Dry Gin?
Juniper berries, coriander seeds, Earl Grey, lemongrass, rosehip, basil, chamomile and strawberry.
Which gins does Vogis make?
Three: Vogis Classic Dry Gin; Vogis Peach Gin, with peach and alpine mint; and Vogis Wild Cherry Gin, with Armenian wild cherry.
What is the alcohol content and bottle size?
All Vogis gins are 41.2% ABV and come in 700 ml bottles.
